FAQ

Answers for parents and partner schools using the WHCD bursary portal.

  • Who can apply?

A parent or guardian creates an account, then submits one application per child with a recent school report and a student photograph.

  • How do I choose a school?

Pick the district and primary or secondary. Approved partner schools in that location appear, including their vacancies.

  • What does WHCD pay?

After review, WHCD allocates a bursary percentage of the school’s official tuition. Parents still cover non-tuition items such as uniforms and personal requirements.

  • What is the admission fee?

UGX 50,000, paid in full. Paying it activates the student ID. It cannot be split into installments.

  • Can the service fee be paid in parts?

Yes. The annual service fee is set by WHCD and may be paid in installments or as a deposit toward the year.

  • When is the admission letter ready?

Only after both the admission fee and the service fee are fully paid and confirmed. Until then the letter stays pending. Letters expire when the academic year ends.

  • How do I pay WHCD fees?

Send the money to 0702971245. The number is registered in the name of Christine Nandagire. Register the payment in your parent account and WHCD sends a WhatsApp to that same number with the student name and transaction reference. It appears on the system only after WHCD confirms the money.

  • How does the school confirm a student?

The school administrator enters the student ID. The photograph, bursary, and letter status are shown.
